Kamal Shah

Medical Entrepreneur, India

Kamal Shah has been on dialysis since 1997. He believes that anyone on dialysis can lead a normal life. He co-founded NephroPlus, India’s largest dialysis centre, to enable dialysis patients to lead long and productive lives – just like he does. Despite being on long term dialysis, Kamal swims every morning, works full time and travels extensively. He wrote Silver Lining, about his experience with kidney failure and setting up Nephro-Plus, earlier this year. Kamal is a vocal patient advocate and has a well-read blog.
